    What's New at Your Library

    Donate to Movers for Moms By May 3

    The Library is collecting donations for the Movers for Moms program now until Tuesday, May 3. Items needed include toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, deodorant, makeup remover wipes, towels, shampoos, perfume, and soaps. 

    Movers for Moms is a program created by Two Men and a Truck. The program provides donations to victims of domestic abuse during Mothers Day. This year, Family Shelter Service in Downers Grove will be receiving items donated at the Library.

    Mother's Day Closing

    Sunday, May 8

    The Library will be closed on Sunday, May 8 in observance of Mother's Day. Enjoy the day. Items may be returned 24/7 365 days/year using the Book Return on the outside of the building.

    Choose Privacy Week: May 1-7

    Choose Privacy WeekChoose Privacy Week, is the American Library Association’s annual event promoting the importance of individual privacy rights and celebrating libraries and librarians’ special role in protecting privacy in the library and in society as a whole.

    This year's theme, “Respect Me, Respect My Privacy,” highlights the need to protect student and minors’ privacy, especially in a time when technology, mobile computing, social media, and the growing adoption of “big data” analytics pose new threats to young people’s privacy.
