This Adult Book Discussion group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the library's Large Meeting Room. We read thought-provoking titles, usually fiction, with the goal of stimulating a spirited discussion. Stop by the Reference Desk to pick up the featured book and come to the discussion to get the next month's title. Anyone with a library card may join the group. You can also keep up with A Novel Idea Book Discussion by joining our group on goodreads.

The Plainfield Public Library has a growing collection of Book Discussion Kits available to lend to our patrons and fellow libraries who are seeking multiple copies of books for discussion. Each discussion set contains between 10-20 books.
Join the Library's Online Book Clubs. Every day, Monday through Friday, you will receive in your email a five-minute selection from a chapter of a book. By the end of the week, you'll have read 2-3 chapters. Every Monday we start a new book. Sign up and start reading.
